The purpose of The Silver Cherry is to remember the past to fortify the future. We work with Black women authors to amplify their voices in the publishing world. We also highlight marginalized stories that are aiming to be forgotten. Music outlines our world and informs our work as such. TSC is heavily influenced by Sankofa themes as well as Black spirituality.
Founded in 2024 by Imani Warren, our brand has grown in size and collaboration during the summer of 2026. Though starting as a self-publishing company, TSC has evolved into publishing the work of other’s as well as highlighting history happening within the city of Chicago.
Our values include: honesty, thoroughness, steadfastness, tenacity, grit, rest, fortification, restoration, and style
